GPS Traking System is a combination of 3 things.
Tracking Device/ Hardware – A GPS unit need to be installed in vehicle connected with vehicle’s own power source or could be carried by a person in his pocket or bag in case of a wireless device.
Sim Card – A sim card need to be installed in to the device for GPRS services so that collected data/ location can be sent to a desired Server or tracking platform for storage purpose so it can be used later whenever required.
Tracking Application – A mobile application need to be installed in user phone with unique username & Password and user can check the live location of the device with other useful info like ignition on/off notifications, history playback, overspeed alarm and even remotely lock the vehicle if the supported device is installed with a relay installed.
